Deal of the Day: J. Crew Poplin Cargo Jacket

From JH:

on sale in utility green, $49.99

Guys, I bought this jacket at full price ($98) early in the summer. It is perfect, and even more perfect on sale for $50. Don’t ask me how I know, but cargo jackets like these are going to be very popular very soon (OK, anyone who’s spent enough time on style.com can tell you that), but you have my word. If army-green’s not your thing, it comes in camp yellow, too.

Newbark Slippers

From JH:

"dylan" in cream

"dylan" in cream

When you’re feet hurt you say “my dogs are barking,” which is how L.A. stylists Maryam and Marjan Malakpour came to call their all-leather slip-ons Newbarks. Like socks with soles they fold in half and fit into a clever pouch, which makes keeping them on hand for end-of-the-day emergencies easy.  Yes, you can do substantial city-walking in them (I have), and bike riding, too, but I wouldn’t recommend them after a rainy day (wet leather soles? no, thanks). Really, I think they’re the perfect shoe to greet house guests in during the winter, when being barefoot (my favorite) feels cruel and unnatural. And since the season is upon us…

Deal of the Day: Rachel Comey Tassel Boots

From DW:

Rachel Comey Tassle Boot

I know, we are kind of Rachel Comey-obsessed. But, how good are these tassel boots! The heel is not too high, the ankle isn’t cut too low, they’re under $500 ($330 to be exact), and they happen to be perfect for cycling (SS now says that riding a bike has become my best excuse for a new wardrobe). Sadly, they are sold out everywhere in my size, but you might be luckier than I?

Fancy Sweatpants

From DW:

I have to say, the idea of the impending fall and dire prospect of winter  has me feeling melancholy in terms of my biking commitment, particularly. I love the heat and the ease of dressing in the summer, and I am a wimp about the cold. However, the idea of biking to work  bundled up in these cycle-worthy trousers actually has me a little excited for a crisp Autumn morning!

Buy them here from OAK.

Yesterday, I jumped into Urban Outfitters in an effort to escape a sudden downpour of rain that caught me without an umbrella….when this perfect bicycle bag caught my eye. Turns out, it’s designed by an H&O favorite, Rachel Comey. I love that it fits snugly in my front basket, converts to a backpack, and zips closed to secure my laptop.

Get it here! Now on sale for $49.99.
